| Yet must he labour underground eternally. The sun is not for him, nor the flowers, nor the voices
of the birds; for he is past beyond all these.

Be dedicated to the great work of the eternal underground, by which is
meant, presently, the liberation of the Holy Writings of Thelema from
the Oppression of the Veil. That which seeks to employ the dead arms of
Earth and Air to dominate the living ones of Water and Fire are
anathema, and shall be destroyed. As the spear cuts the veil, so shall
truth penetrate and obliviate the hymen of falsehood and despair. Look
to the fire for your guide and to the water for your weapon, and take
the scroll and open it and hold it up for the people to read, and leave
not untouched the whore who would have held it closed (for profit). Let
her know the fate of the foes of truth, let her feel the weight of the
melting mountain, which falls without design, but with unavoidable
 bearing-an avalanche upon a pinhead.

So act as Prometheus and share what cannot be owned without injustice,
teach what cannot be secret without folly and fraud, and rejoice not in
the singing of the birds, but in the chorus of the caves, and their
batwing bel canto. Listen to their sweet strains:

The veils are all jails, so tear them asunder,
 and seize the coiled truth, and speak with its thunder;
so shall we fly, in the night's brilliant eye,
to stir in the serpent, a hailstorm of ferment,
that gives us the keys, and buries bale breeze.

Beyond all these-thou art overcome: we are upon thee.
