Grant Morrison strip in The List

For sad completists...

There's a short strip in the current issue of The List (Glasgow & Edinburgh events listings magazine). For the last few issues various DJs & cartoonists have contributed guest strips to the Glasgow Fabulous series. This issue's script is by Twitch with art by GM.

Perhaps some kind soul with a scanner could put it up here.

I tried to see if it was online, but couldn't find it. I assume this website is for the same mag though - You can buy it here apparently

BiP has a copy I know, because I saw it in her flat in Right-On. Should have half-inched it - very swanky item.

I'm meant to be getting a consignment down to nelson in London/Brighton, which i haven't done yet cos it's a bit pricey to send them down and I have been unforgivably lazy.

It's actually slightly cheaper to get it off me the now.

It's priced £4.99 but if you send me a cheque for a fiver I'll post the fucker to ya.

Yanks - 10 dollars'll get you the same.

Folks who cowered under the german jackboot back in thr '40's: 10 Euros and the mags yours.

go to:

mmm.manmadememories.co.uk for purchase details.

Kit Kat - thanks!

I have a copy I'll scan tonight. It's no big deal. I always thought the strip was a waste of space.

yeah, glas fab is a totally pish although it has improved a little recently, as the artists have begun to tackle themes that lay outwith Glasgow's tiny clubscene.

surprised grant bothered his arse with that shower anyway.

Although twitch, his partner for this strip does seem to be a nice bloke, and also, back in the day, a rather good techno dj (he founded 'Pure' in Embra)

I love Germans and have no hair anymore... any connection ?
Ok, is the interview long and good to part with 10 euros ?

twitch needs to get out more.

seriously, in a magazine about goig out in glasgow(yes, yes, and edinburgh) he decides to make a three panel strip about clubbing in glasgow?

and he does what?
slags off all the ones he thinks are crap and stagnant?
wow.

i would NEVER have thought of that.

good DJ mind. shake the disease was him, i believe.
and that was fucking ace. so was optimo in its day, before the face-huggers sucked its soul out through its nose.

(yawn-do you still go out in the city? what do you reckon is any good? PM me if you wanna be discreet)

Well, I just noticed the skyline. Gotta be a comment on the new Glesgae branding. Anyone seen it yet? Hamfisted, say I. (The branding, that is, not the strip.)

what do you expect twitch to write about? its a strip about Glasgow clubbing, of course he's gonna write about glasgow clubs. Also, he's not just bitching about the ones he thinks are crap and stagnant, he's including his own there as well. The point he's making is no-one has came along to blow everyone away in years, the whole scene is stagnant, Keith has been the best DJ in the city for over 13 years, his 2 clubs (pure and optimo) have set the bar for everyone else all that time. i know he would like nothing better than some young upstart to come along and piss all over him (not literally, well maybe..., but it just never happens...

this isn't a dig at you toksik, just a reply

18:58 / 21.03.04
never! pure 90-96, THE best club in Britain. Not just my opinion, Richie Hawtin, Derrick May, Andy Weatherall and tons more all bow down before the mighty Pure. Twitcher wiping the floor with every guest that came up, ah happy days...Slam have been dull as hell since leaving Atlantis at the subby, always felt you could hear their boredom with it all in their music...

...all relative for me now, bored senseless with all clubs and very aware of being one of those old guys i used to think "have you nothing better to do than party with 20 year olds?"

nobody snobbier than old pure gyppos

yawn - thing's buddy
21:31 / 21.03.04
whatever - I was in it for the glamour and pure just stank of B.O.

(although it was alright)

but atlantis was shite - so don't start me.

or I may have to glass you.

upside down ems ahoy!

oi gambit, I got chased off aliens there n all - in fact I used my girlfriend as a shield to stop the offworld cunt from clawing my balls in a lift.

that was just before slam's friday night in the arches started in 92.

bubba: for a while, a true electronic future designed by sexy govan girls, half casts and spastics was in the offing down slam's alley.

glad yo ass missed it.
