Acoustic Brain Research Tapes

So, my friends and I worked through RAW's Quantum Psychology, in which he recommends the group purchase tapes from the Acoustic Brain Research series by Tom Kenyon, and try them out. Wilson seems pretty impressed with them - his recommendation was attached to many of the ad blurb which accompanied the tapes online. He believes that the results he got from the series were more dramatic than many more standard methods used for brain state changes, including yoga and $7000+ biofeedback machines.

Has anyone tried them, and if so, which ones, as there are MANY!

Also, if you have tried them, for how LONG have you tried them? Kenyon began his research back in the '80s, and then 5 years ago declared that he had been contacted by a superintelligent/superspiritual extraterrestrial race called the Hathors who are here to help mankind evolve etc. etc. etc., and who look rather like a cross between a Whitley Strieber-style Grey and Dobby the House Elf ...

AFAIK they use binaural beats. You can try out software like http://www.bwgen.com as well as mp3s (http://brainhack.chaosmagic.com/) rather than spend loads of money you are unsure of.

You can also make your own binaural beat sound files using the audio editor program Cool Edit - the older CoolEdit96 version is still available for free download on scattered sites around the web (just put "Cool Edit 96" and "download" into a search engine and you should find something - and you can use the "Brainwave Synthesizer" just fine without registering, if you just want to try it out). The nice part about it is that you have total control over both the binaural waves and the carrier sound. I've had good results with this, myself.

Have fun!

Wow. This stuff seems fairly effective. Here's an interesting link that combines flash animation and binaural beats that has been fun to play with. Thanks again, folks!
