"I know, let's make an LP with a recording of Tesla's life story on it!"

"Better yet, let's do it in MORSE CODE!"

"Brilliant!"

A TV studio...producers around a table talking...

"Hey, here's a plan to make the next series of 'Scooby-Doo' great!"

"What's that?"

"We'll introduce Scooby's NEPHEW!"

"Yeah, let's call him...Scrappy-Doo!"

"That's great! Hey, how about if he has 'wee man syndrome'?"

"Fantastic! Let's give him a funky catchphrase."

"Yeah! What about...'da da da da da da...puppy power!'"

"It's the best idea EVER!"

I really fancy watercolour Tesla.

He does have that 'young Christopher Lee' look about him doesn't he.. I don't recall him looking like that illustration AT ALL in photos..

Really though.. that LP baffles me.. I mean, what were you supposed to do with it? Broadcast it over the airwaves so that some guy in an isolated research station in the Arctic circle with a decoding machine could be inspired by the life of Tesla or something??

Having very little taste and therefore having to invent an external principle on which to select clothing, and also having very little money, I spent my undergraduate years dressing only in clothes I found in charity shops that fitted this principle ("But why would someone make a shirt-dress in pencil-grey taffeta with a pleated skirt that sticks out like a tutu? Why? Why? I had better buy it and wear it to see if it starts making sense... No.")

Am I Blue Or Not?

Incidentally my brother would absolutely love that Morse Code Tesla record. He'd probably do amazing things with it too. He put the sound of a glass of Sprite in a song once, so I think he might be able to make anything into music.

What? You didn't like 'Young Einstein' when you were young?

...did he ever do anything else?

'Young Einstein' is an awe-inspiring and moving motion picture. Thus Yahoo Serious has a right to exist. NEXT!

Coming in late : 'They did what..?', I think Mark Evanier (who's writted for comics n TV n stuff) once admitted - whilst at a comic convention - to being involved in the pre-Scrappy discussions, and was booed.

But I might have misremembered.
