feel free to delete this if it strikes as spammish, but was but have a violin i want to sell, and offers at this end have been feeble. Am probably gonna be in london this w/e, so thought i'd give it a shot. Kat? anyone?

(failing that, does anyone want to buy a good quality full-size violin(german.)? )

What Smoothly said. Denmark Street has musical shops galore and they're all pretty cool to boot.

If they're no help though, I'd suggest going to Peter Biddulph's who specialise in violins. They are based near Sothebys and located on George Street.

Surely you have a local dealer? There must must be one in Brighton... and if not in the surrounding environs. I think Martin Restall might still be active in the Chichester/Emsworth area.

I can think of a couple of shops around the Oxford Street area - will try and find addresses. I would imagine though that the smaller ones may well be shut at weekends, and it would be a good idea to ring in advance to gauge interest anyway - that way you won't waste too much time or get too disheartened trudging round London. There's probably a directory on the net, or have a look in the back of the clarssical music mags.

I'm in the process of insuring mine, grrr nnnf gnngh, which is a larff considering my inordinate riches...
