Yes, it is vile. The pizza place that I frequent serves Connecticut-style pizza, which I find funny but good.

Say what now?

Once when I was a kid, I went to visit my father's family in Connecticut and we went to Pizza Hut. They insisted on getting the "New York Style Pizza", I guess to signify that Connecticut wasn't only about riding lawnmowers and ugly divorces but had some New York style soul and grit as well, and then they all sat down to eat their slices with knife and fork.

It's actually called New Haven-style pizza. God, I hope New Haven is in Connecticut. It's really good pizza. Thin crust, and you can order red (red sauce, mozzerella), plain (red sauce, no cheese), or white (no sauce, garlic). I like plain; but every time you order plain, the waitress asks if you're sure that you want plain --because it doesn't have cheese, you know. People must complain all the time.

You have to go to Waxin' Saxon or Lombardo Bombardment for that sort of thing. (PS, I said Hamburger already! What about Cheeseburger?)

There's a place here called the Fountain of Juice. I imagine their mascot to be a fruitman named Pomz de Lemon. There's also a sort of fry-stand called "A Salt and Battery -- Thank God It's Fry-Day"
