Yow. I think we all could do with a quick reminder of the dead zone created by Chernobyl and the fact that people still have to live there. This is beautiful. btw did you know that at least 50% of the electricty used in Scotland is nuclear?

I saw this linked from Slashdot earlier. I love the slight eeriness of the broken english on the captions:

"I don't know how sound the silence to those tourists that they can not stand it, but to me after hitting a red line on my bike tacho it sound like all those ghosts cursing 1100cc kawasaki engin."

The photos are nothing special, in fact many have a pale white sheen over them, branches in the foreground and poor focus. But they somehow get the message across perfectly. The web layout is so plain as well.

A quite brilliant site. I somehow get the impression that half the sentiment that comes across could be inadvertent, accidental. It could almost be a guide for hardcore Kawasaki riders to what would make a fantastic place to drive around at great speed without punishment. But then again, it isn't.

...would that be the east coast of scotland then?remember when they killed all the sheep at the time because of the radiation poisoning...suppose on the flipside ,it saves money on johnnies and torch batteries ,when your nutsack glows in the dark....I know what you mean though,the kids on this site(no offence meant)probably dont even remember it
