The Total Barbelith Tarot System:0- the fool

I hope this is the appropriate place for this excercise.
It has been said that the meanings of the tarot cards are scattered throughout the world- as if it was one big book and the pages were torn out and set on the wind.
What I propose is this...
The Barbelith Collectiv is an eclectic albeit genius group with vast amounts of knowledge.
I would like to post up- one per day- a major arcana trump card title and on that thread we would place our iterpretations of that card (no matter how outrageous...)
At the end of the posting, the information will be compiled and then posted (or published) for all of us as an arcana data base.
We could even go so far as to nominate barbelithers to create one card each!!
I think it's a good idea and a littl input from everyone will give all of us a wealth of information to draw upon.

So...I hope you are all with me.
And as today is the 22nd and there are 22 cards...let the magic commence.
0: THE FOOL
Place your interpretations below...thanks.

The fool dances on the cliff, unaware of impending doom,he rushes into love, and loves to rush.He thinks in the moment and is thus an excellent laugh,he puts sincerity on the shelf. He's first on the dancefloor, but not always the best dancer.
If you read the Fool negatively, you are in a position of ignorance,to issues that might affect you, whether you will them or not.It means you have taken knowledge as fact without weighing all the ramifications, and you could end up the victim of ignorance.Alternatively you could enjoy the company of Kings, and be in guise,as the Wise Man who is Devils Advocate. You are the footloose, fancy free. You can go anywhere and all will judge you wrongly. You are invisible to men of prejudice, making others think you can't see the cliff. You wear your heart on your sleeve, and can see through deceptions.

The leap into the archetypal world of the trumps.
Following the rabbit down the hole.
Why look into the deep world of the mind when you can stay sefely in the ordinary landscape of a job, home and family?Herman Melville in MOby Dick warned his readers not to take even a step outside the path laid out by society. You might not get it back again.
In king arthur,Merlin appears not only as a sorcerer and a wiseman but also as a trickster.Constantly,he appears before Arthur in disguise,as a child,a beggar,an old peasant. The pompus Arthur never recognizes Merlin until his companions point out he has been tricked again.
The fool-0- indicates that first step in seeing through illusion. The fool also dares to tell kings what others fear to express. In fact, the fool is but the inversion of the king-the liberated side never revealed to his followers.

What a great idea Rex city zen. I love it!

Ahh The Fool. Or depending on what slang you use, The Foo or Fu, as in kung fu.

This Fu is all about energy. The potential to succeed and the potential to focus. If this Fu comes up in your life that monkey looking guy from the movie "The Golden Child" will be entering your life in the near future.

Fu is neither good nor bad he is just Fu, a bit slow on the uptake but quite loyal. Its probably best to take other cards in conjunction with the meaning of Fu. As Mr Miagi said "Karate means closed fist" and we'll leave it at that.

The Fool
a.k.a. The Spirit of the Aether

Card Number: 0
Rulership: Air
Hebrew Letter: Aleph
Translation: ox (plowshare)

The path between Kether (the crown) and Chokmah (wisdom). Hence, the Fool embodies divine wisdom, which often appears as nonsense to humankind. Folly and inspiration (beacause both make us laugh...).

The number zero: the Void, The Goddess, Infinite Nuit, the Unmanifest. The number from which everything comes. Beyond Alpha and Omega--the original mind.

Aleph: the beginning, the primal fire. Humans as a collective entity--the universal WoMan, and the human genre. Unity, the central point. The abstract principle of a thing (ding-in-sich?) expressing power, stability, and continuity. Note: Aleph is ALP which hooks the Fool in with Justice (Lamed) and the Tower (Peh). Perhaps this is why divine justice often leaves the receiver in ruin...

Looking at the numerical value of ALP is 1 + 30 + 80 = 111, and this is Ain Sof Aur---The third veil of negative existence.

In readings:
Dignified: A new beginning. The forces of energy, optimism, and happiness present in one’s life. Unexpected and/or unplanned events which radically alter or overthrow the current state of things. Timely or important decisions and/or choices to made.

Reversed: Reckless and impulsive action and/or choices. Indiscretion and error. The wasting away of creative energy. May indicate someone who has many ideas for many projects, but never completes any of them. Indicative of one who is constantly unsatisfied, and so, continues to seek change in most facets of life.

Mythological links: Zeus, Jupiter, Hoor-Paar-Kraat (Lord of Silence).

The Fool is the need for the Void to experience itself through manifestation. It is divine wisdom in that it creates the illusion of many in order to express and/or obscure the One. It is folly because any reproduction of the One results in the many, and so, is less than the original perfection of the Void. The Fool is also rebellion (but unwittingly) against structure and order in so far as s/he is not concerned with outcomes but exists only for the moment: the expectation of illumination without the lust for results.

Related to the "no-mind" of Zen: the psyche without the bonds of time and space--a free-fall/flight in and from nothing. The beginning of the Fall, the descent of nothing (divine spark) into something (the worldly representation of the divine shard within). Everything and Nothing, the centre and circumference (hydrogen?) The ascent of the perfected spirit of a human to godhead.

A mistake is about to be made.
Seize the chance to learn with it.
Play along with the Universe, because it is about to tell you a big joke.

The Tarot is a journey, and the Fool is the stillness before the first step. It is emptiness waiting to be filled, silence waiting for song, a blank page waiting for the word to be written. The Fool is unrealized potential, limitless vistas and infinite choices. We long for the innocence the Fool represents. Ignorance is bliss, and the Fool is undeniably happy. But the Fool can achieve nothing until he steps onto the path. Besides, innocence is fragile, and the world full of pitfalls. The best we can hope for as we travel the road is to remember the Fools that we were and the Fools that we are.

the Fool

I just had a thought about this card recently.

I noticed how Rex would often add the values of cards to produce strange combinations, and I was thinking.

You could add the fool to any combination and the result remains unchanged. The fool is the joker, it can be any card, it could be every card.

Multiply any card by the fool and it becomes the fool.

It was there at the beginning and is still there at the end.

The Fool can be looked at as either the first of the tarot trumps...or the last. In the former, it would take a complete fool to take the step that can lead to utter madness. Taken from the other direction, the Magus joins with the Godhead and becomes the Fool, a la Neo in the Matrix.
