that's...insanely...cool.

Quitely is a genius.

I've never seen someone shot by a billion little cylinders from anything approaching that angle...wow.

3 short minis in a row, from May to December-ish. is it safe to say this is Morrison's version of Ellis' "Pop Comics"?

[not that M's not being doing those for a while...]

I got the Wizard issue (which I sort of curse myself for, cause although there's a little more substance in #150 than usual, it's still so much crap) and it said it was about 3 killing machines on a final mission, something like that. Seriously, that's what it said.

That gave me all sorts of good chills.

This was the title I was least looking forward to but now I'm all psyched for it.

One of the perks of working for Vertigo is getting to see this stuff before anyone else - on my last visit to the DC offices in January I saw about 15 or 16 pages of We3, and it's simply stunning work, I think easily some of the best of Quitely's career. I can't wait until the book is out.

From Wizard 150, page 25:

"Seaguy follows the whimsical adventures of the title character in a fantastical world where evil no longer exists. We3 stars a trio of high-tech killing machines on their bloody final mission and promises to be the most graphic and violent of the three. Finally, Vimanarama! represents Morrison's crack at a love story-with a team of celestial superbeings, an army of buried fossil devils and two lovestruck teenagers mixed in"

Seaguy in May, We3 in August, Vimanarama! in November, one after the other, each three issues.

Been rereading an old Grant interview.
Here's what he had to say about We3:

We3 is my new collaboration with Frank Quitely and the story's inspired by some recent nasty military experiments, which is all I’ll say until nearer the release date. We’ve taken advantage of the relative simplicity of the storyline and created new storytelling and visual techniques to make this book look different from anything else. I think it will completely change the way mainstream comics are drawn.

The visual angle in the picture above might be a good indication of great things to come.
I hope Cameron can confirm that.

hope so, too many bad artists these times. comics are so ahead of it's time we're not in the 80s revival anymore, it's '92.
