Have you experienced what can be defined as a "profound result" yet, overwhelming positive change, total mindblow etc.? If so, what was it and how did you achieve it?

Jesus yes! How long have you got?

Can you be more specific? What type of overwhelmingly positive change are you referring to? Please refine your search criteria.

Hehe..ok. Im talking about things that have actually changed your life or how you view it..deepdrilling results, things that have changed the way you live and think. The way you perceive your fellow man or yourself, preferably both, finding the love of your life, starting a whole new life..that kinda stuff.

My answer to this would be "yes, but not quickly". I would say that all the practices I've undertaken and stuck with, have given me some kind of results, pretty much. But the results are better when you carry things through to the degree it becomes part of your life, which obviously takes a while. I know I've done this when I feel happy with explaining things/ instructing other people in it. All these things then impact on your sense of self, relationships etc. This is not to say things won't happen in the short term that won't knock your socks off - certainly did to me, usually when I wasn't expecting it/looking out for it - but but this is different from a deep level of fascination and engagement with a system or set of practices.

There maybe something to be said for quick results (that came out as "re-sluts" first time I typed it which sounds quite fun). I get the impression NLP for instance, is very critical of the years of therapy approach - thoughts?

The closest I've come so far is reading The Invisibles, and on that page with Jack and the time worm, just completely understanding the nature of 4-D time, as defined by Morrison. The series opened me up, and set me on the path of discovery. I'm hoping to one day have a PKD Zebra light level experience, but nothing like that yet.

There are as many thoughts on the applications of NLP as there are practitioners. There's no single party line on longterm therapy. Bandler and Grinder have certainly expressed opinions on the subject that match what you're saying, but then they say a lot of things. I guess I'd ask what the objective is in therapy, and how the therapy is going about achieving that objective. To spend a long time in therapy without a specific wellformed goal - and some criteria in place to know when it's been accomplished - seems a bit pointless to me. How would you know when you'd finished otherwise? I've spoken to a lot of people who just seem to have achieved an incredible ability to be articulate when talking about their problems.

As to specific experiences for the thread, I'm afraid I'm living with them too much to be able to post about them right now. Sorry to pricktease. Maybe if things settle down I'll revisit the subject.

Ok, I have a pretty good example regarding what I would define as a "profound result". About a year ago now, (one of my first "serious" workings) I performed a spontaneous working based on a modern godform I came across in a book. The ritual involved making a sigil representing the godform, and some good`ol wanking [under a full moon] The result: I met, or discovered really, the love of my life.
