is the 3rd season of 24 being aired in UK already? it started today in Brazil with the first couple of episodes. it seems they have screwed the series this one time. not only it takes place unnecessairly 3 years after season 2, but the main problem I had with it was that the plot was already going for a long while when it starts. this can turn out in favour of the whole thing, but it now seems like a series from a parallel dimension. producers need plot twist after plot twist so they have ordered Jack to develop an adiction not because of the state he was left when season 2 ended, but due to an undercover mission he was in for the previous 6 months, so off-screen it hurts - even for a series that has so much good off-screen backstory [it's even mentioned that the guys who tried to assassinate Palmer are locked].
they can still save this in the second half of the season - and manage to fill all the other season's plot holes - without making this look like a bad thriller with 'foreign' villains. |
