Skim-read it in the store. It didn't really do anything for me.
Basically, HPL is portrayed as a nice little boy who grows up knowing about demons and learns to master them. He writes the mythos as a kind of release valve to keep his sanity from cracking up.
Didn't seem to bear much resemblance to the actual Life & Times Of... and kind of skipped over all the self-loathing, body horror, homophobia, racism and literary furore which woulda made for an HPL story that I wanted to read.
