I've never heard of any differences between models, just price, size and looks. They're cross-platform compatible AFAIK.
If you break it... it won't work any more...
I was thinking of buying one last weekend, but I didn't really see the point. I might once my work upgrade to XP, to transfer files back and forth. Just a small one. But right now, if I want to take files to someone else's PC, I use a CD-RW - much cheaper, much higher capacity (it's just that my work machine doesn't have a CD burner so I couldn't write from there). In fact, if I have a net connection I just upload any files I want to transfer to Yahoo! Briefcase and download them when I get home, which is even simpler. |
