discusion on the civil contingencies bill is in switchboard, but its really quite important as it is the most powerful proposed piece of legislation ever.

It will give Tony legal power to do anything to anyone, conmplete power. It makes the patriot act look tame and goes much further than our terrorist acts.

as well as reading the bill myself ive been raking through the net looking for other peoples opinions and translations on the lump of steaming shite on the chest of liberty that is the civil contingencies bill. The scary thing is that it will most likely become law, considering that labour has a 160 majority in the commons and has been apointing its cronies en masse to the lords.

I think that Tone already has all the powers he needs to turn Britain into the cultural equivalent of a whorehouse. Most of the big decisions are made with the advice of business gurus. The only hope of an egalitarian society was lost when “new labour” embraced the third way and discarded the principles of the “Labour” party. The drop in voting figures is not due to apathy or laziness, but in the realisation that there is no choice in the world of politics. Move to another European country and get Britain kicked out of Europe, it is a cancer, if yo belive that Britain has any social democratic leanings, you are very much mistaken. It is time to cut our losses with this sink hole of a country.

its more like a steady slide, but the civil contingencies bill is a potentail finishing blow. If you want a hand sinking the UK (well mabye just england) im more than willing to mess with some home made nukes and faultlines ^_^

or mabye just the houses of parliment.

my preffered option is emmigration, though.
