| It wasn't a particularly interesting crash, just a tricky one to resolve. Basically there are too many people using the same DB server, it then crashed and one of the tables corrupted, so I had to do a table repair on it. In the end it took about two minutes to fix, but I had to wait until the traffic had died down to do it as it wasn't letting the repair process finish its job because it was overloaded. This is all profoundly annoying of course, but there's little we can really do about it at the moment I'm afraid short of get an even MORE expensive server with a dedicated database server. |
