i have a fondness for fopp.
not the style, but the shop.
i went in the other day,
round the bit labelled hip-hop....

and for only three quid,
cheap as fuckin chips,
missy was on the racks.
(i've never had any that werent rips)

so.
is it any good?
i might,
if i should.

what do you, the massed armies of barbelith's music forum, think?
is it a coaster, a frisbee, a three pound shiny cirlcle?
or is it a shining example of why hip hop is WICKID and why missy elliot is so damn rich?

if i won't play it, it'll annoy me.

I'm definitely going to check her out, missy elliot is one of the many artists that I've been missing out on.

I think it's her best album (although I haven't heard the new one, damn she's prolific), largely by virtue of being the most consistent. Lots of sexed-up electro-funk dancefloor goodness, plus some solid straight-up hip hop. Get it.

i went back in and the fucker was gone... they may get more in, but for now i shall just have to seethe at my own fucking over-cautious consumer profile.

it was THREE QUID!

i know what you mean about consistency, actually.
that is the main reason i didnt just buy it on the spot, having heard supadupafly and being very much underwhelmed(despite loving most of her big tunes to bits) due to the rollercoaster quality ride.
