My brother's brought home reindeer pate from Norway; So no christmas next year, rudolph is dead. But today I won the best-dressed till-point at work with a cardboard-and-hanger rudolph. Woo!

Just spent an evening doing festively drunk carpentry (making a toybox for lilly's 2-year-old) and am finally chilling with my festive beers, Barbelith, and blowing-the-shit-out-of-things games.

And fucking Beagle 2 hits Mars in a few hours! How fucking cool is that?!?!?!

A bit out of character for me, but, "Bah-humbug".

I've been dealing today with the fact that my family is barring my sister from attendance tomorrow because she's sick and nobody wants her spreading her illness. So, "we still love you but don't want you around". WTF?!? When I expressed my discontent to my mom, she fell back on what I realize is her foundation regarding my sister and I regardless of how much love she expresses.

"That's the price of your lifestyle."

So, my sister's sick because she works in a bar and is bisexual. And I get to spend tonight and tomorrow with these people acting like none of that was ever said.

I really WAS in a good mood about Christmas, earlier, too...


Sorry. Don't let me bother your holidays.

I got a great haul this year. A circus poster, another Sandman statue and a 49 Merc model (I'm a collecting fiend when it comes to all that stuff), a Lenny shirt, Two Towers Extended Edition, Pirates DVD and X-Men United, Mac OS 10.3, and a digital camera to take pictures with.

And all this after a semester of catastrophe after catastrophe after catastrophe (Apple fixed my laptop and fixed my zapped adapter! Woo hoo!).

I'm telling ya, if I could bottle all my good fortune this month, I'd ship it to every single one of you. So much love to all Barbelithers. *Big fuzzy huggle around the globe* I love you all.

But I lurve my Christmas-crazy family even more.

Just got up and took the dogs for a festive walk... later I'm off to a friend's to eat, drink, smoke and pass out (I was supposed to go last night but shopping and carpentry left me too knackered to do anything other than watch the Christmas Invader Zim and go to bed). God yeah ,Merry Christmas to you all. It’s been great, I’ve just done the most un-Christmassy thing of soaking in a very hot bath for hours, with comics and wine and the radio on.
