I am rather short on ideas for one of these amusing secret santa things. So, if anyone can offer suggestions that would be much appreciated. Ta.

what do you mean, exactly - how to organize one, or what to give as gifts?

also, tell us more - is this for an office, a school, a circle of friends?

Oh, sorry. I was looking for interesting ideas for (reasonably priced) gifts for (male) people in an office.

I did alright this year. I got someposh shaving cream and one of those little Voodoo doll kits. Not bad at all (I was given two presents by mistake). I gave some posh chocolate - if he likes his nosh that might be a good option. Or you could just get him a few cans of lager.

I've bought a few office-people The Procrastinator in the past.

It's pretty cool, and comes in a few different flavours.

I received shower gel and a pen. A bit lame but it is a nice pen... and I lose pens consistently. I gave our gay IT guy a flashing tiara. It sounds stereotyped but you really couldn't stereotype yourself more than he does (the insane sweetheart).

Small toys. I like those small slinkies - useless but charming.

I was given one of those little slinkies recently and it rocks! Everybody should have one.

The only time I've ever done Secret Santa, I forgot to send the gift for months, so ended up sending it around Easter time. I sent a copy of "Kill your boyfriend". Not entirely sure what the receiver thought of it though. Oh well.

Schotts Miscellany is very good. And would suit most people I'd imagine.

Those Fluffit things look bloody scary!

I got a Brother Bear colouring book, pens and stickers this year - sweet

And my gift to someone was The 2003 Busted Annual.

I just got an officemate pixelblocks for our secret santa thingy today and he liked 'em pretty well. Even better, I got a flask from whomever got me! And soon it will be chock full of Jameson-y goodness...mmmm

I need to buy for a Yankee Swap at work. This is trickier for me, I usually tailor my gifts to individual quirks. Any good ideas for a $20 or less gift for anonymous receiver? Preferably something everyone will fight over so I'll seem cool.
