Against my better judgement, I just registered

beyondthefieldsweknow // stereosanctity // freeserve.co.uk

[take that, spam machines!]

None of that Bz78@xl.tr nonsense for me thanks very much!

(Obviously I'll still mainly be using my existing Yahoo! address as the main destination for mail though, if only for the sake of the world's typing fingers)

Beat that for longness, anyway!

(what an utterly pointless thread)

Well as the proud owner of the icoulddobetterthanthat.co.uk domain I could probably come up with something longer, but people find it annoying enough as it is...

On a related note, what's the shortest email anyone can come up with? AFAIK, I am still the owner of uq@dr.com...

Well, having a domain name redirect means that in theory your address could be any length; I just sent a mail to illhaveapintofstellaandmymatewillhaveadoublevodkawithlimenoicecheersmate at fridgemagnet.org.uk, and it worked fine.

Because gingerbop@aol.com was taken (incidentally, someone who'd sent spam to another of my email addresses, I just got a random number generated after it, and cause I was in a hurry i just accepted it.
gingerbop4855295@aol.com - How fucking stupid. Wouldnt mind it being long if it was in any way memorable, but i cant be arsed changing it again.

Riz and gingerbop, I'd suggest editing your posts to add 'at' instead of @, because otherwise you'll get bombarded by spam. There are programs that search web sites for email addresses and you're up for a full mail box anytime soon if you leave them there.

Some actually know about "at" and "dot" these days too, but most of them are pretty dumb.

Mine is pretty long:

prostetnicvogonjeltz at hotmail dot com

When I registered this name, I thought to myself, "hey, that's neat. Nobody's taken this, yet." Its been few years ago, now.
