My first thought was that it was either an Arabic or Japanese ad for something. With the happy face and big speech bubble it looks very Japanese, but the writing under the head looks vaugley Arabic.
...though you're right. It DOES look like Chef Boyardi and the Pringles guy put together. Ah, pop imagery.
