I've just used "fishcakes" to mean "etc" for the 10,000th time and it occured to me that I have no idea where it comes from. Barbelith, you have infected me with the Fishcakes meme! Damn you!

I ate some fishcakes when I was visiting Baltimore about six months ago, and I'm pretty sure that was what gave me the food poisoning that I had that evening and all of the next day. Now I'm more than a little grossed out when I think of fishcakes. So this thread kinda disgusts me.
