Proposal: Rebirth of the LIVING DEAD (threads)

So here's a suggestion. People go back into the archives of Barbelith and find interesting threads about good subjects that didn't get the attention they deserved the first time around. They write a new post giving a bit of new context for the debate that was happening, what's happening now and what kind of interesting questions remained unanswered, and thereby bump it up to the top of the forum concerned, exposing the interesting thread in question to all the cool new people who are coming onto the board. Thoughts?

Ooh. Also a possible way to showcase some of the best old threads.

I think it's a good idea, I'm sure there's lots of really old threads that a fair few of us haven't seen.

I think May started a thread with links to some good old threads. There was one about a penis I believe, but I imagine you may be referring to ones which have more leeway for debate.

Yeah, I think May's thread was more along the lines of archive value than actually resurrection.

This is a great idea- I'll have a trawl through the Switchboard, cos there's bound to be threads which will have been proved wrong/right/have something interesting to say about the way events have moved on since they were first posted...

May's Thread: The Barbe-Classics Thread, but they're mostly the best humour of the place...

..."I Have a Really Great Penis" is probably better off not being resurrected...

Feminism. Is she dead?

Class.

I feel these have some worth as primers - watch out for the shit-slinging in the second one, for which I was partly responsible but still, I think, a man more sinned against that sinning...

Oh wait, I'm supposed to add new posts to these? Um...
