| It's their best human design to date, light years beyond the tepid humans in their first four films. I flipped through the Nemo design book a while back and there's a page of designs for the Dentist's Office characters and you can see that they're finally loosening up, design-wise, and doing a lot more funny looking people. There's a brief interview with Lasseter on the Nemo disc and he talks about how the most important thing on any project is research, so I have no doubt that Bird and Co. have spent many a long day and night reading comics, comics, and, oh yes, more comics. This film will be a fantastic last hurrah for Super-Hero movies for a while, before Hollywood chews up the trend and spits it out. |
