Getting incense ingredients in London

Do any of you darling brains know where the best place to get ingredients for incense in London is? Nothing too esoteric--just big amounts of powder, storax and olibanum and things like that. Preferably cheap....

There's a couple of stalls around Camden Market on a Saturday that do various bits and pieces. The market up near the loch that is, not the one on the high street.

Though the best bet is Baldwinson the Walworth Road, pretty comprehensive IIRC.

Not sure about incense ingredients as I've never tried to make my own - but for general herbs and ingredients for other stuff I tend to use Neals Yard Remedies, in Neals Yard, or hit the scary botanica trail in Brixton for more specialised rootwork stuff.

Mail order or order online from Starchild.co.uk, crap name but great stuff. They send you big bags of herbs etc. from Glastonbury, more oriented to aromatherapy and herbalism but they provide most of the stuff you'll need, and not too expensive.

Get thee to Baldwins and drink the weird drinks they sell there...

Hmm, my bad- they just have pictures of tiny bottles (how helpful). Seems Baldwins is the answer!

Ahh... between Baldwin's and Sainsbury's I got everything I needed today. Excellent, thanks!

One further question... I now need to know where to get a good quality censer to burn incense in, and an oil lamp as well.

Ah, what a fucking life.

Thank you again for all you help

I'd probably go to 'Mysteries' in Covent Garden for the incense burner, they have a pretty good selection. A bit new agey though. It's on Monmouth Street. Some of the botanicas tend to sell this sort of thing as well, possibly cheaper.
