Total Lunar Eclipse tomorrow night

So, the moon is full and between Saturday 8th and Sunday the 9th it will be totally eclipsed and should be spectacular (also Mars is still v. bright and near it early in the night).
What's everyone doing? Does anybody know exactly what time it will be? This site here says;

On the night of 8th November, the Full Moon will enter the shadow of the Earth and undergo a total lunar eclipse. The event starts just before midnight, at 11:32 pm, when a dark "bite" will appear on the Moon which will slowly grow to engulf the whole disk. Totality starts at 01:06am on the morning of the 9th and lasts for about 25 min, ending at 01:30am.

..but doesn't indicate whether it's GMT.

I think that's UK -

There's lots going on with the planets on Saturday lining up certain patterns (Star of David)- different people are saying different stuff like these guys -

The astrological chart of that moment has a distinctive pattern, or "signature," which is visible even to the untrained eye. The astrological holograph that the moment projects is fundamentally spiritual in nature, and can be understood terms of Quantum Meta-Physics as well as by 'astro-spiritual' metaphor. It speaks of the descent of God-Consciousness upon this plane and offers a moment in time when humankind can make a concerted effort to rise up to meet it. We have called this moment of attunement The Harmonic Concordance. We believe that it opens an energetic "stargate" to the Ascension of Mother Earth, and to each of her inhabitants. Many have called the attainment of this paradigm the Shift of Ages.

We also know that this gate has always been open, to those willing to step through it. Although this chart depicts a moment in our future, the energies embodied in it can also be used to show us how to activate that moment right NOW.

Like its spiritual ancestor, the Harmonic Convergence of 1987, The Harmonic Concordance of 2003 also is a call to the Spirit of Humankind to awaken to the idea that we are, in fact, Spiritual beings sharing a physical experience. Consequently, ceremonies and celebrations in honor of this idea are now being scheduled at multiple sacred sites and pilgrimage places throughout the world.

Not quite my bag but it was posted on another list I'm on ...

There's a nice pic of the pattern but you can't post from yahoo groups can you?

I think I'll be out in my new garden riding the waves of all the mad shit going down in London...

Feck! That slipped past me! After a bit of digging for the astronomy and astrology;

"Around November 9, six planets will align at equal distances around the zodiac, forming the shape of a hexagon, or a six-point star; or, if you prefer, two overlapping triangles like the Star of David. When the pattern is complete, there will be not just the usual one or two, but 15 astrologically significant alignments applying simultaneously. And we will see the moon is being eclipsed at the same time.

'Star of David' alignments, though unusual, aren't so rare that we've never seen them before: they occur once every twenty years or so. A key component of this one is the tiny planet Chiron, first discovered in 1977. The astrological community is by no means unanimous on whether Chiron should even be seen as astrologically valid. If Chiron is excluded, the hexagon isn't complete, and this mighty alignment becomes a non-event." (from http://www.bubble.com/thoughts/oct10.html)

Chiron? Whuh?
"Chiron is unusual because it has a detectable coma, indicating that it is a cometary body, but it is over 50,000 times the characteristic volume of a comet, a size more commensurate with a large asteroid, which it was initially assumed to be.
Furthermore, its curious orbit is unstable on time scales of a million years, indicating that it hasn't been in its present orbit long.
Chiron was the first of four bodies discovered so far with similar orbits and properties. These bodies have been designated Centaurs, after the race of half-man/half-horse beings from Greek mythology, in recognition of their dual comet/asteroid nature" (from http://nssdc.gsfc.nasa.gov/planetary/chiron.html)

I'm going to put down all the weird shit and the mood swings going on with practically everyone I know down to this. I wouldn't usually but the universe has seriously gone a bit insane around me and there doesn't seem to be any other explanation.

With this plus all the sun madness I'm suprised the Earth hasn't flipped inside out or it's started raining monkeys.

What if this was it, the big day when we all evolve - if it is lets all zoom out astral bodies to the Plough on Sunday morning.

It really is the perfect time to a major working though isn't it.

Want an antidote to all the fluffy Newage spew about the "Concordance"?

http://www.astrowisdom.com/thisfullmoon.htm

A quick taste:

... in the interest of being real, and honoring the fact that this is happening on a grounded, earthy, "show me" Taurus Full Moon, I will be completely honest about my distaste for this idea of a Harmonic Concordance. All this talk of Harmonic Concordance has made me remember walking through Central Park, years ago, during the Harmonic Convergence, feeling embarrassed by the overt expressions of spirituality, which seemed disingenuous and frankly, totally commodified.

Reading the online material that has been written about a Harmonic Concordance made me sad that the New Age community still grasps tightly to unhealthy delusions of disembodiment. "Ascension" is a ridiculously irresponsible concept. All the wisdom of the universe is already present in the human brain. There is nowhere to go, nothing higher than the multileveled intricacy of the brain we have each been gifted. Enlightenment is ever-present; lying dormant, waiting for each of us...

What, you mean that's only happening here?

Anyway, here's a list of the important times in various time zones.

Cholister got to my joke before I did....
Anyway, we better not ascend into the hypercontext or anything yet. I have plans for next Saterday, and they still require my physical body. The future can wait.

That, and I'm just now figuring out how to save the universe, and if the universe saves itself tonight, that means all my plans were pointless. That would suck.

Well i felt a bit giddy and now i've come down with some sort of flu. No doubt it was all a cruel practical joke by the secret cheifs for not buying enough hardback copies of the equinox....

So all in all:

Interesting electromagnetic resonant anomalies = 0
Mundane sunday with songs of praise to look forward to = 1

Oh well.......

I don't know if I could blame it on this or not, but Friday eve I felt so distinctly un-well as to need to hide in my bed in dark and quiet while internally I collapsed completely and had to do a mental reset. Total symbolic death and return that completely ruined my evening. Saturday's party was fun, though the kids woke up screaming at around 12:30 and wouldn't settle until about 2. Spent Sunday being contemplative, getting some head work done, which was good.

Oh, and I wrote some really weird prose about an Angel dieing this week, finished on friday. I think that had a bit to do with the collapse I suffered. All in all a weird time for me.

I was very excited for the full moon/lunar eclipse on Saturday night. I had a big party to go to where I knew lots of people and was looking to meet some ladies & just have a blast. I went to a beautiful park in my neighborhood at about 7:30 pm - the moon was half-eclipsed when I arrived and I stayed there in the freezing cold until it was fully eclipsed (I left around 8:30). I felt like I was soaking up some kind of great energy. I even watched it in this little place of power in the park, the middle of three trees arranged in a triangle, that I've felt drawn to for years and done some workings in. I said hello to Diana and just felt very happy.

Only a few people were in the park watching the eclipse - I was surprised at how few people were watching this event, even with the cold which had just visited NYC after a few days of a bizarre second Indian summer. A couple sat down on a park bench near me to nuzzle, kiss, hold hands and watch the eclipse. At first I felt jealous of them, me being a single guy, but then I said to myself, "Hey, man, the moon is for lovers. I'm happy for them." and really felt happy for them, sincerely so. I ended up talking to one eclipse-watcher who was very cool, and then went and got some food, every few minutes looking up at the eclipse and smiling broadly.

So I go to the party and 3/4 of the way through the party, it's just OK, nothing too exciting. As I was thinking "ah well, guess this won't be the great night I thought it would be, I'll probably go home by myself in a little bit," I meet a terrific, really cute girl who I end up talking with for 5 hours. We stay out til the wee hours of the morning, sparks fly. Could be the start of something great - only time will tell. I'm not counting my chickens before they're hatched - but I took it to be partly the result of my soaking up all that energy, chatting with Diana, and previous chats with Aphrodite and some other stuff I've been doing. Just wanted to report my lunar eclipse success story!
