I was very excited for the full moon/lunar eclipse on Saturday night. I had a big party to go to where I knew lots of people and was looking to meet some ladies & just have a blast. I went to a beautiful park in my neighborhood at about 7:30 pm - the moon was half-eclipsed when I arrived and I stayed there in the freezing cold until it was fully eclipsed (I left around 8:30). I felt like I was soaking up some kind of great energy. I even watched it in this little place of power in the park, the middle of three trees arranged in a triangle, that I've felt drawn to for years and done some workings in. I said hello to Diana and just felt very happy.
Only a few people were in the park watching the eclipse - I was surprised at how few people were watching this event, even with the cold which had just visited NYC after a few days of a bizarre second Indian summer. A couple sat down on a park bench near me to nuzzle, kiss, hold hands and watch the eclipse. At first I felt jealous of them, me being a single guy, but then I said to myself, "Hey, man, the moon is for lovers. I'm happy for them." and really felt happy for them, sincerely so. I ended up talking to one eclipse-watcher who was very cool, and then went and got some food, every few minutes looking up at the eclipse and smiling broadly.
So I go to the party and 3/4 of the way through the party, it's just OK, nothing too exciting. As I was thinking "ah well, guess this won't be the great night I thought it would be, I'll probably go home by myself in a little bit," I meet a terrific, really cute girl who I end up talking with for 5 hours. We stay out til the wee hours of the morning, sparks fly. Could be the start of something great - only time will tell. I'm not counting my chickens before they're hatched - but I took it to be partly the result of my soaking up all that energy, chatting with Diana, and previous chats with Aphrodite and some other stuff I've been doing. Just wanted to report my lunar eclipse success story! |
