I think its a perfectly okay record, and at least as good as Black Album. But its nowhere near the level of Reasonable Doubt, Blueprint, of Vols 1-3, which for me makes it disappointing. (Also, Ignorant Shit has been around for years.)

My main question about this is, what's an espy?

I'm only a few tracks in but I think it's great so far. Most impressed by - the utter hyper-capitalism on Track 1 "Pray".

Jackie Susann: Perhaps the concept gets in the way a little? Ain't finished my listen yet so more thoughts later.

(Note for Wire fans - apparently Idris Elba is the voice on the Intro!)

It's a problem in terms of how much I enjoy what's supposed to be a new record, when the best song is five years old. I am superficial like that.
