Does what it says on the tin.

I'm up for the next leg of my course on the evening of Wednesday 19th, staying for the next four evenings, back home on the Sunday.

I suggest what is becoming the customary Plough meet up Friday 21st, if people are up for that. Any suggestions for the other nights would be welcomed.

And as usual, I could do with somewhere to crash in Zones 1 or 2. Anything will do, floor, sofabed, walls, ceiling, dark place under the floorboards.

Well I might be drinking Bush out of London... I also suggest somewhere other than the Plough, it was very busy last time and in my knackered state I really couldn't handle it. Isn't there somewhere a bit quieter and spacier?

Is drinking Bush out of London some kind of shamanic sucking technique to remove a harmful intrusion?

So we have a vote for somewhere quieter and spacier. Where no-one can hear us scream.

Somewhere with qua-li-té.

The ruby lounge in waterloo has been good - but does get busy later on... Barbe meets these days are growing beyond the ability to easily annex a few tables in a pub however...

Friday evening maybe, Sunday afternoon more likely, when do you have to head back home, and are you working Monday morning? There's the Fitzroy behind Goodge Street station, though t'is a pity that it's filthpub but it has a fair bit of space. Choose Sunday afternoon and there's a better likelihood of all the seating you want at the Black Cap in Camden...

Sunday is the last day of my course. It finishes at around five PM, but experience tells me that I'll be shattered by then, in need home. Thursday, Friday and Saturday night are all up for grabs, though.

Can I just emphasise how much I'm missing the JC these days.

Somewhere with qua-li-té.

[Dawnie] Shut up, shut up, shut uuuppppp [/Dawnie]. You people and your qua-li-fey. Trying to insane me up.

Yay! I'll be back in England with a terrible Ozzie accent and hideous jet lag by then! Woohoo what better way to get that sorted than getting hideously drunk. Oh, OK, maybe not hideously drunk, but making it to the latest Magick forum drinks has me dancing around the room in a little sleepy happy dance! Yay! Weeeee!

Were there any objections to the JC other than we'd been there heaps for a while then? Maybe 'tis time to revisit it? For a friday night drinks? Just think, space and decent beer! C'mon, you know you want to!

definately be up for this, high time i had a proper chat with that seth character (tho' I will be attending the demos first, so might be late if they Section 12 half of London as seems to be the usual policy).

JC is too pigging far for anyone who doesn't live in Norf' London. The PL always cleans out after an hour or so, and then we can nab those lucious tables at the back.

Seth
14:04 / 04.11.03
The other potential problem with the JC is the Northern Line. Is it fixed yet?

Bill Posters, I would love to have a decent chat for more than the two seconds at a time we've managd previously. Game on.

While I'm at it, another quick advert for Melt Banana this Saturday (8.11.03) at the Mean Fiddler, and the possible afternoon meet-up beforehand (check the Gathering thread). You'd really be dickheaded to miss this gig, and I think there are still tickets going.

Anyone offering crash space?

Executive decision to have this at the Plough. I can't check venue changes online for the next week, so it just makes it easier.

I'll be there at around six/seven ish. If anyone wants to do anything on Thursday or Saturday night, post it here or send a PM.

I think that I may be busy on the Friday but Thursday at the Marquis of Gransomethingorother would be good. It's not filthy and it will encourage those feckless southerners north of the river more easily.

Possibly up for Thurs. post rioting or whatever.

I *really* want to come, but have to get our house together so we can move it, arsey arse arse. Someone give Seth a back rub for me

Crap, post rioting means that the Marquis will be off limits. We could manage north of Oxford Street. I know of a few pubs there that are absent of frothers on a weekday. I'll get some names.

thursday maybe, depends on the demo. friday, yes, if possible, tho' there's a slight possibility i'll be out of town, so you may have to muddle through without me.

I should be there on friday, don't think I can do thursday though.

I'll be staying with a mte just off Warren Street tube, so north of Oxford Street will be fine. This is the last time I'll be checking Barbelith before I go to London tomorrow, so I'll phone Illmatic on Thursday to find out the definite plans for that evening (keep your mobile on you), and catch up with the rest of you at the Plough on Friday).

Given that it's a fairly decent chain, how about we go for the The Marquis of Granby on Rathbone Street. Fairly accessible to all and look, I provided you with a link and everything.

If you agree, suggest a time.

Unfortunatel the rathbone st. Marquis of granby is tiny and is frequently too packed to get into at lunchtimes let alone at weekends...

What about the Marlborough, reckon we can squeeze a few people in there?

Trying to be a bit more constructive than my last post ...

There are a fair few sam smith pubs in the area but many people seem to have grown objections to that - there is the fitzrovia (not the fitzroy tavern) up on goge st - not sure how busy it is on a weekend but on thursdays it can upport a sizable crowd... nice pub range of beers including a range of brand largers and real ales...

what do people think

Upstairs at the Newman Arms is usually all right on Thursdays, especially if you get there at a decent time (downstairs has room for about three people though, so might be risky). I don't really like the Fitzroy, but it might be preferable to the Blue Posts of happy memory...

... and since I definitely can't manage Thursday it doesn't really matter what I think...

Please God. Help me - where are we meeting tonight tonight? Executive decision. Letd say the FItz on Goodge St, post march? It's far enough away for their to be less of a crowd - Sleaze, Cherry, anyone else, please PM me your numbers.

Am I right in thinking that these recent posts concern a different seperate post-demo drinks thing happening tonight (thursday), and that the thing on Friday at the Plough is still going ahead as planned?

I can't do drinks today, but I'm definitely up for Friday night - provided that's still happening.

Fitz tonight is the consenus I'm trying to enforce like a brutal totalitarian dictator (appropriate that). Won't be out long but I'd like to touch base post demo.

And definitely Plough tomorrow.
