Strength, power, will, determination, law, force, control, Mars, loyalty, defense, assertion.
Gebura is the limiting force of the personality, the Will, the sense of control. It balances Chesed, which gives and submits, by limiting and enforcing will. It is all forms of conflict and war, as conflict arises from disputes over law and who is the controlling force.
Here the Ego is supreme, the "left path" to Chesed's "right", personal power vs being empowered by another.
Here also is the divine energy enclosed in form so it can interact with the lower spheres without overwhelming them. It acts thus as an important filter, a stepping down of power, a second set of limitations after that of Binah, allowing for the order of the spheres below.
Qlippoth: Without the second order of limiting control, energy is manifest upon this plane but uncontrolled. Rage, madness, destruction, conflict without purpose.
