Hello,

I now seem to get this kind of thing on a fairly erratic, but still regular-ish, basis :

No idea wtf it means, but maybe it's useful to someone techie who knows these things.

I always assumed it meant too many people were trying to get through the server at the same time or something and that you were just going to have to wait til later?

Me too, I just try again a minute later or refresh. I've no idea what it means but it doesn't seem serious.

Yeah, I always assumed it was just the board having a hiccup. It does that sometimes.

Generally, that means the database that runs the board wasn't responding, either due to heavy load or it just needing a kick. These things typically sort themselves out on their own.

Yeah - it happens when there's too many users online at the same time (not just of Barbelith but of all other people using the same database server). If we got our own server, that probably wouldn't happen and we'd probably scale more elegantly. On the other hand maintenance would then be completely out of my league and I'd have to harrass Cal more than ever.
