It's not everyday that...(henceforth known as INEDT)

You stumble across Tony Benn defending George Galloway amidst a bunch of TV Prtess hounds and Socialist Worker vendors on the Gray's Inn Road on your way into work.

Probably going to be on the news today sometime. Watch out for the extremely hungover, dishevelled looking dude with the funny hair shouting 'Bollocks!' in the background.

That'll be me.

It's not everyday that you get an e-mail from a woman in Australia about a feature you wrote six months ago, which the woman's sister in South Africa found on the internet and forwarded to her and which was about a BNP candidate who had the same name as the woman's grandfather while, bizarrely, the woman's maiden name is the same as my surname.

That'll be me, then.

INEDT, wintry weather descends suddeenly, my office is an icebox because the heating system needs a part that can't be got before Monday, and I get to "work from home".

Long lie, radio 4, long bath, leisurely breakfast, papers, daytime tv, 3 hours of tapes of 6 Feet Under from lovely lovely hanabi, and at some point I will actually do some work (finishing off a video script from my notes, piece of piss!), SPLENDIDO.

God is good. I owe her a tenner, I think.

INEDT... your mum tells you she likes your new haircut. (Okay, so it actually happened a couple of weeks ago, but it still feels weird. And not necessarily in a good way.)

(OK, this was last week rather than today but bare with me..)

INEDT it's 11 am and you find yourself standing in a graveyard holding a chainsaw.

Innocent explanation being that i was helping to cut down a tree and the back garden in question bordered onto a graveyard and we had to climb over the fence and stand on the other side, but still, pretty cool, huh?
