Never apologise and never explain. That is what John Wayne says. Just try to realise that you came into this site with good intentions, but without tact. Learn from your mistakes. If you have a theory, give some information about it and invite a discussion, then maybe give information about your book. There is no need to leave this site; you have a yellow card at worst. Not a red one.

I feel genuinely bad about this, and would ask you to come back to the board and investigate the community a little further and a little more tentatively. I'm sure you'd get substantial rewards out of it.

I'd feel bad about the whole thing but I thought the board was still closed to new members and, well, maybe you should have had a look around or asked the person that invited you to Barbelith a bit about the place before you put the same self-promoting thread in six different forums.
