The Brighton ones are still going - this month's is on human mutations and form variations, and next months is on biological clocks. There's more info on the websites - check the ones for individual cities rather than the main one.
They do indeed rock hard. I've been to 2 so far, on why prime numbers are groovy, and why robots won't take over the Earth; unfortunately, due to old-school physics-teacher nature of the speaker I came away from the latter convinced that robots were going to enslave us and that my electric toothbrush would suck out my brain. |
