I had such a good time at the last meet-up that I thought it'd be nice to do it again, if people are up for it.
Suggested venue: The Plough.
Suggested dates: 23, 24, 25 October. Probably one of the latter two.
Gypsy Lantern: Is is still OK to crash round your place between these dates? Which tube is nearest your pad? I'll be in London as of Wednesday 22 October, returning home on the evening of 26th. That OK?
Thinking about it, it'd be helpful if people posted which of those dates they can't make, if any. We'll choose the one on which the most people can attend.
It'd also be useful for people to rate their backrub skills on a scale of one to five, with one being the lowest.
I'll be there, I'd prefer Friday myself but then I'm a facist. I just like the Fridaynight post-work Barbedrinks thang. By the way, BiaS, sorry I missed ya housewaming - I'll buy you a pint.
I will definelty be there, boviously - don't know what I'm doing on Sat but I think some kind of highjinks can be arranged. I imagine Absence of Gravitas will be in attendance as well but I'll have to check.
24th? The day my mum's coming up to the capital?! Gah, will try to juggle the two. No one would mind if Old Ma Posters were to come along, would they? Um, on second thoughts, no, I'll be along later, and doubtless in need of a drink.
This'll be one of the last times I check in with the board before I leave for London. Gypsy Lantern and Illmatic have my mobile number if there's any change of plan. I'm assuming that we'll organise the cinema on Friday night.
Dammit, other plans rear their ugly head- I shan't be there but shall send aetheric spies to snoop on the action and sprinkle good will dust on you all- don't swat them please
Next time though...
It's on Museum Street opposite the British Museum and screw it I'll talk for us all and say you're all welcome! We will be in possession of at least one man without hair but possibly two or three, a few Americans, two or three pairs of glasses and a coat that looks like curtain material. I have shoulder length brown hair and smoke like a chimney. Just wander around until you hear people talking about barbelith type things, you'll guess who we are. Alternatively look really lost and we'll probably notice you or yell something obscure that sounds like a cultural reference and I'll wave enthusiastically.
I'll be along although it may be quite late when i get there. Cheers for the Meyrink book KKC. I'm away on holiday next week so some good beach reading material is needed.
