Holy Lord. So I scanned my computer thoroughly, and I found thirteen of the little bastards, despite having plenty of up-to-date protection and so on. What have they been doing all this time? What ghastly conspiracies, crime syndicates, and marketing concerns have I aided and abbetted? Of what deranged sexual networks am I a silent and unknowing part?

Wow.

Anyway, just to advise you PC users out there to run those scanners, and to remind myself of yet another reason why I want a G5 and a PowerBook.

I don't know. I told the system to remove them, burn their houses, sow their fields with salt, and sell their offspring into slavery. Their horses are my horses, and the names of their families have been erased from the parish records.

I was not happy - particularly since a couple of them were trojans and a couple more were 'suspect scripts' which means I have no idea what they may have been doing. Does that mean someone could be reading my email? Yuck...

Could be. Though with any luck they were looking for corporate info and won't have bothered with private stuff. Keep an eye on your bank statements though.

Do you run a firewall? They can help a bit.
