9-11 and 23

Just wanted to ask if other people are experiencing anything similar to what I've been experiencing -- you know with 23 you can see it popping up all over the place? I've been experiencing that a significant amount with 9-11, especially when I glance at a clock after not having glanced at it for a long time and it's 9:11. (The same thing happens to me a lot with 23, esp. 11:23 but also anything:23)

I know some people have discussed the numerological significance of the numbers 9 and 11 here on Barbelith, just curious to see if anyone thinks 9-11 is the new 23, or what other things this thread will turn up related to these numbers.

Well, sure.. If you, and others, want 9-11 to become the new 23, then it will eventually.. I think the whole 23 thing proved itself to be a very succesful experiment, proving the fact that you can program your mind, choose your perception really.. And considering the deep psychological connections that 9-11 have, it might just work.. Thats my 50 cents anyway.. Any wierd 9-11 experiences anyone?

In the sense that it's the same principle--except used for evil--then yes. But I don't see it as a replacement in any way.

I get 11:23 too (Fibonacci sequence), and 4:20, but mostly 3:11 (it's even a rock band).

I enjoy my 9:11 experiences well enough (I'm Canadian, if that makes a difference). But they are initially startling more than the other numbers, since 9:11 has a specific, culturally sanctioned, unpleasant referent.

I definitely don't mean as a replacement, and I don't mean it's going to be as prevalent or powerful as 23. I was just wondering if anyone noticed it popping up a lot lately in your peripheral or direct vision (when not referring to the events of 9/11/01, of course, like a news report or something like that).

I think it is appropriate that an event of such magnitude in cultural awareness cause such effects on global consciousness as a whole. Look at all the syncronicities that sprang up around the event already, from numerological details to the planes and the date to funny ways to fold American money to create frightening pictures fortelling the event. Powerful event cause ripples in reality, forward and backwards in time. I suspect 9-11 will hold magickal meaning for quite some time to come.

Since I am in the UK, of course it is 11-9.
The eleventh came and went without magickal incident as far as I'm concerned, the 23rd (tomorrow) is the autumn equinox and should be stonking. I don't think 9/11 is numerologically significant, I think of it more as a Name, the way to refer to an event, rather than the numbers involved having meaning.

For the record, the winning Lotto numbers on 9/11/2002 were 9-1-1. I thought this was just an urban myth but I saw an article in the NY Daily News confirming that this was fact.
