Sleeping positions

BBC news report

"If you want an insight into somebody's true personality, then try to catch a glimpse of the way they sleep.
Professor Chris Idzikowski, director of the Sleep Assessment and Advisory Service, has analysed six common sleeping positions - and found that each is linked to a particular personality type"

for example;
"The Foetus: Those who curl up in the foetus position are described as tough on the outside but sensitive at heart. They may be shy when they first meet somebody, but soon relax.
This is the most common sleeping position, adopted by 41% of the 1,000 people who took part in the survey. More than twice as many women as men tend to adopt this position."

So I was thinking this could be extended to loads of positions, like 'The Heston' (fingers clutching gun)- this position indicates you are a fearful, aggressive child trapped in a successful actor's wrinkly body...

C'mon. What position do you sleep in? (Prizes to all who enter!)

Oh come on, this is complete rubbish!

I often sleep in all of those positions (well, except the soldier - that's just odd).

41% of people `do the foetus'. It's just annoying wank.

This morning I woke up because my head thumped into the bookshelf next to my bed. Somehow, I'd twisted all the way around and slid off the side of the bed.

No books in that bookshelf, btw. Just some dildoes and a pair of pyjamas.

I sleep in a reverse soldier, what does that make me?

Anyway, those personality assessments look like they were ripped out of a book of horoscopes. They simultaneously apply to everybody and nobody.

Coincidentally, "Do the Foetus" is the title of my latest dance single.

Apparently I sleep in sort of a yearning freefall. The artist's rendering doesn't convey the churning existential despair, though. Or the drooling.

What's me prize?

You get to invent a position, name it and decide what it says about your personality

I think I am a free-falling starfish feotus.

Woke up in a warm pool of wit that had recently escaped me.

I sleep in none of those positions.

I lie on my right hand side, or left hand - have phases of both, slightly arced but not foetal, with one hand under and the other over the pillow.

I suspect this means I'm a perv.

Having looked at the pics, it's really just a straighter foetus.

How normal.

*sigh*
