To clarify this point - I have at various times invited Tom to destroy the second suit, but he has each time told me it wasn't worth the hassle. The only thing I use it for these days is to check whether people have PMed me by its login name rather than my own by mistake, which occasionally happens. The only time I can think of using that suit was when I discovered that the sexless backpacker had been sending me threatening PMs. Somewhat rattled, I think I posted in the Policy without logging out and back in again.
So, this is rather like the "Timewave Zero" multiple suit, theoretically, since the owner of that suit claims that ze will not be using their old suit any more. The only obvious differences are that the suit owner in question does not feel that ze should be obliged to reveal hir previous identity, and that the Timewave Zero suit was registered as a spare or multiple suit after Tom had asked people not to register multiple suits.
There is another question in my mind about the Timewave Zero suit, but I expect that TZ hirself will be aware by now of what that is and why it might be open to question, and would probably do better to raise it hirself if ze feels it might cause problems if it came to light further down the line. |
