Sounds like you've done good so far. As Mr. Vega has said shortly, but I will now expand a little (and you recognize this, but I’ll expand a little anyway), the magic/k set-up is merely like a channel, and you still have to do what you can along “mundane” lines to create the outcome you desire. It’s kind of like magic/k can be the nitrous oxide in the speed racer that is your life. You still need regular gas to go, but you can give yourself the power kick when and if you need it. Remember, sometimes it is simply not worth the nitrous injection as it will take your vehicle out of control, but at other times, the NO is exactly the edge ya’ need.
Anyway, what I will sometimes do in similar situations is pick on a couple of “experts” in the field I am studying, and then temporarily “bind” them to me. I do this simply by visualizing relatively small copies of these people (say, like six inch action figure size) sitting on my shoulders and ready to whisper hints, clues, and leads into my ears when I need it. I bring ‘em into the exam, and let them go when I’ve handed it in.
Doesn’t always work so well—sometimes, if I am not adequately prepared myself, they tell me things I can’t make sense of because I haven’t done the work needed to keep up with them! |
