Fictional Magick:help!!!

Hi everybody. I'm a bit new at magick, but I'm dealing with fictional suits as Spyder and many others here and it works fine.
Now, as I'm working and studying at the same time I found myself in a mess: on monday I've got an exam and I'm quite busy. So here it's the idea: summoning someone to help me with studying. But I can't imagine who and how. Anyone helps? It's very important for me to pass this exam

I'd do a brief but deep meditation - start by visualising a calm sea and synchronising your breath to the waves. At some point, the visualisation will probably show you a figure who can help you - and you should take their advice, whether it's palatable or not.

Freebie: you'll still have to do a tonne of work between now and then.

A few quick ideas:

1. What props do you associate with study or success in exams? A ring, a t-shirt, a special pen? Charge it up with your ritual of choice and get cracking.

2. Who do you associate with study, success in exams or intelligence in general? Einstein, Reed Richards, a particular friend or mentor? That's the person to use. Assume his or her attributes as you would assume a god form in your ritual of choice. Then break open the books and get working.

3. Forget the magic and just study. Calm yourself with a brief meditation as suggested by Vega, then dig in.

(If you need a bit of magical encouragement for number 3, you can always repeat a brief mantra: "What is my will? My will is to pass this exam. How will I do that? By doing the work I need to do.")

Adapt as necessary to your taste.

Thanks a lot to both. I'm gonna try with all of the suggestions you gave me.Even if I know that the most important thing to pass an exam is studying (which I'm going to do, anyway)a little bit of magic is worth for the cause, as my job took all of the energies and time I needed to study and the exam is on monday. As I'm a southern italian and my hometown(where I don't live anymore, anyway)is full of ancient greek memories which are very linked to our past do you think dealing with Athena could work fine? Or I should try with a man, now dead, which I can consider my mentor? Finally: can anyone help me doing a ritual on monday? Thanks a lot!

I'm all for Professor Richards, but here are some more ideas. Data from ST:TNG, Dr. Stephen Hawking (not fictional, but a really smart guy), and...David Bowie. Trust me on this. It's weird, but it couldn't hurt.

OK, here's what I did:a sygil invoking Pallas Athena (as a goddess of knoledge and law,as the exam is about procedural law) and her symbols (Lybra and Owl) and Hermes (as the god of dealers and cunning) and his symbols (Caduceum and Winged Helm). For the whole time I was listening to David Bowie, exspecially the "Labyrinth" soundtrack which sounds magical and amusing to me. Next steps: I'll try with meditation and see what happens. And of course I'm ready to study for the whole night. If anyone wants to help me,please do somethin similar and focuses it on monday.Any other suggestions? I'll stay tuned, and thanks a lot to all of you

Sounds like you've done good so far. As Mr. Vega has said shortly, but I will now expand a little (and you recognize this, but I’ll expand a little anyway), the magic/k set-up is merely like a channel, and you still have to do what you can along “mundane” lines to create the outcome you desire. It’s kind of like magic/k can be the nitrous oxide in the speed racer that is your life. You still need regular gas to go, but you can give yourself the power kick when and if you need it. Remember, sometimes it is simply not worth the nitrous injection as it will take your vehicle out of control, but at other times, the NO is exactly the edge ya’ need.

Anyway, what I will sometimes do in similar situations is pick on a couple of “experts” in the field I am studying, and then temporarily “bind” them to me. I do this simply by visualizing relatively small copies of these people (say, like six inch action figure size) sitting on my shoulders and ready to whisper hints, clues, and leads into my ears when I need it. I bring ‘em into the exam, and let them go when I’ve handed it in.

Doesn’t always work so well—sometimes, if I am not adequately prepared myself, they tell me things I can’t make sense of because I haven’t done the work needed to keep up with them!

Yep, I like your comparison between engines and fuel and life and magic. I decided to use a little magical help for this exam because I felt I needed it in this time of my life, but I'm not forgetting to focus on the main thing:studying. Anyway, here is what happened me last night.I tried to meditate as Sam Vega suggested here, and while I was visualizing a beach I realised it was a beach in my hometown, where lies a Pallas Athena statue. The goddess was one of my hometown's protectors in ancient times, and so the statue suggested me some subjects I should study more and better, which I'm doing at the moment. On the other hand I was a bit scared because she did'nt appear as Pallas Athena for the whole time, but in a short while she had turned herself unto a Harpy (Human head, bird-like body). Harpies are'nt a good sign for Ancient Greeks, however the Owl is one of her holy animals. So:suggestions?

Bowie has at times created fictionsuits for himself, as well, so could appropriate any of the more usual ones...?

(oh, delgiht, that means we could "put on" Ziggy Stardust... heard an interview where he said that he "should have" passed the character onto another performer rather than retired him. could have worked out really well, could have worked out really bad..)

Hi everybody. I passed my exam and, which is more important here, the questions the teacher were exactly those the goddess Athena told me during meditation. So I'd like to thank everybody for the help: all your suggestions were right!I'm so glad magic eneterd in my life and I must confess that this was the first time I had a so deep experience with a divinity.I think I'll try something else with the Greek Pantheon, and I'll tell you later on these pages.

Greek is always good. I think it's the pantheon I use most, actually.
