Hell and damn.

Ah, that so sucks. It's kind of sweet though... I figured he was hanging on for June C...

on the mtv award show repeat they had a little five minute tribute to him, saqid he was supposed to be out of hospital and back to work in a few days. that's real shitty.

Yahoo News last night had a headline "Johnny Cash discharged from hospital"... I guess he was in a way... poor guy. He rocked. A lot.

I saw him twice. Both times he rocked the asses of more snow leopards than I'd ever thought existed.

YOU SAW HIM?! Wow. I didn't think he had toured in decades! I am listening to him sing "I'm so lonesome I could cry", and it's sadder than usual....

Yeah, about 7 years or so ago, he played Glastonbury on the Saturday, then the following weekend played Shepherd's Bush. Man...

Ghost Riders... Just when you thought Glastonbury was all plastic bands and lookalike indie acts.

Yeah.

...and just for the dead pool this week, the Pope doesn't seem to be doing so well either.

I've already posted in the similar thread in the Music, but, man..

I mean, before I'd heard this news I was talking about Johnny Cash with by Dad today, and I was humming "Wanted Man" in the shower just five minutes before I logged on..

I'm really annoyed that I've just got into his stuff, and as I gradually pick up his LPs in one place or another I'm gonna be thinking "well here's some more great music by a guy who I'm never going to see live and who's never gonna make a new record.."

Which I guess is a bit of a self-centred way of looking at things, but never mind.. he seemed to still really have it together musically, and he seemed a tough old bugger, so I'm really sad that he's suddenly died..

Baz: Ths scary part is the John Ritter death.

Like the hooker said:"2 Johns down, one more to go"

Was just watching the video of his cover of Hurt recently again, too. He really pours his heart out in that one. I think American IV was the last CD I've actually bought in a long time.

Somewhere down the line we'll all stand back and realize just how much we were affected, by the man in black, all of us.

Especially the pirates.

I'm gonna pay tribute by shooting a man in Reno, just to watch him die.

I shall now go and get my ring of fire tatoo which I`ve been saving forr
the right time.
