Passing time in Kingsport, Tenn.

We were on our way to New Orleans. It was a beautiful day, the sun shined brightly upon our techno-mobile. Exit 63 loomed ahead in the hazy distance, our lunch-stop. God I had to peeā€¦

After enjoying a brief respite at the local Sub-Way, we noticed a horrible Sound coming from the "engine area."

"We can't hold it any longer, Cap'n.," Rebecca dramatically intoned. "We must call a tow truck," I reply.

Shit Fuck Shit Fuck Shit Fuck

And so, our 7 hours in Kingsport, Tennessee Began.

That would be the town of my birth, sugar plum. Go see if you can find the old gas refinery, five years ago it was a gorgeous industrial structure of rusted pipes, really beautiful in its own way. There is also a comic book shop somewhere in town and a tattoo parlor, though I cannot vouch for its shadiness or lack thereof.

I've only been there once since I was eight months old, but it was kinda neat. I can't believe you're there, that's so bizarre.

Wait. That's poetry. You're probably not in Kingsport. The poetry is even more bizarre.

Well I was born just over the mountains in Asheville North Carolina.
This thread makes me homesick.
And my mom lives in New Orleans. If you need a great meal and a
bit of mothering once you get down there, just pm me and I will alert
her. She is one of those true southern moms who loves everyone and
never has met a stranger.
And if you meet William in NO, do say hello for me.

I wanna go home!

More bizarre by the second. The majority of my extended family is from right around Asheville.

Well fucking hell! By most people`s standards of "southern living", this
makes us all related! We must get together and talk of old times...
