I am leaving the city on Monday for London and want to say goodbye to everybody before I go...

I am going to a J.T. LeRoy event with Genesis P-O on Saturday where he and a bunch of other celebs, including Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, will be reading stories by J.T. if anybody is interested. I don't know what the door price is going to be:

Debbie Harry, Flea, Boy George, Matthew Modine, Tatum O'Neal, Karen O, and others also reading. DJ's Miss Guy and Nick from Yeah Yeah Yeahs plus live music by THISTLE and lots of fabulousness abounds!

I am SO THERE. Not only did I want to hang out with you before you leave, but this event sounds ultra-cool. However, I have no idea who J.T. LeRoy is. But I'm sure I will find out Sat. nite.

Where do you want to meet up? Do we have to get there early to get a seat? You don't have to make reservations, do you?

Any idea about a cover charge? If it's something upwards of $50 I might have a problem. It sounds like it could be pricey since there are semi-celebrities there?

I don't know if the event is costing or not. It hasn't been publicized so it may be a super-secret celeb "aren't we cool" kind of get together. Or it might be part of Fashion Week. Gen is going to call me today and tell me what it costs and I'll post it up here when I find out.

J.T. LeRoy=Author who got famous at 16 for book "Sarah" and is currently beloved author of the glitterati at 22.

UCB SEASON 1 DVD WILL BE RELEASED ON NOVEMBER 4, 2003
Comedy Central has informed us that our season 1 DVD will be released on Nov. 4. Thanks for you support in keeping up the noise to make this happen. Spread the word.

We are going to do a commentary track for four of the episodes.
What episodes should we pick?

Join all 4 members of the UCB as they record the commentary track on their pilot episode and one other episode from the first season of the Upright Citizens Brigade television show. The UCB will field questions from the audience as the commentary goes along. This live commentary will be on the season one DVD which gets released November 4th!

Actually I won't be able to make it to the UCB event.

So what's the plan?

Ah well...

I went to the party and none of the top celebs showed up, although I did get to hang a bit with Nick from the YYYs and I did see Courtney Love. It was a pretty surreal night–giant fishtank behind bar with mermaid girls swimming in it, bathrooms packed with Electroclashers snorting coke. Weird.

Anyway, I have to work today until 9:30 but would love to meet up afterward with anybody who can meet up. I'll be around the Times Square area. Anybody who's interested, call me on my cell 831-588-9311 any time during the day, as I'll be away from the computer.
