As the title says, this is shameless pimping, but I think, under the circumstances, it REALLY wouldn't deserve a place in the music forum.
Okay. This is the fun anecdotal part. Many, many (well, about 12) years ago, myself and a bunch of friends (including lilly's husband, trivia fans!) did WAY too much acid and did a bunch of really bad songs. One of which, due to my lifelong obsession, mentioned Rose McDowall of Strawberry Switchblade.
Cut to- NOW!!! One of the friends involved has somehow had ALL THE LUCK IN THE WORLD and has ended up doing an official Strawberry Switchblade website. (He got to interview Rose AND Jill! Fucking hell!!!) On which are many downloads. And he managed to get "Bob Carolgees" (by the North London Chemical Zone Troopers/David Icke Is Not Of This Earth, depending whose memory you trust most) on there. Having given Ms McDowall (swoon) a CD of the stuff he was putting on there for her approval!!! Now, chances are, she never listened to it, but let me have my dreams, okay?
