As you may or may not know, there are know gonna be two ATP weekends at Camber Sands in 2004..

The first in the last weekend of March, curated by Mogwai, Tortoise Shellac..

..and as if that wasn't unmissable enough, the one on the first weekend of April is curated by Sonic Youth and Stephen Malkmus!

Clearly this is a choice that's going to lead to much beard stroking and soul searching amongst the black-framed glasses & converse brigade..

Now much as I'd like to see Mogwai and Shellac, there are certain things that take precedence, AND GOING TO THAT SECOND WEEKEND IS TOTALLY ONE OF THEM!

So I'm gonna try and put together four (or more) people and get a chalet ticket sometime soon.. so is anybody interested?

Pssst.

I have it on good word that Malky was planning on doing a special all-Pavement-song set at ATP NYC. He may have changed his mind by now, but hey. You might get really lucky.

Uh, can anyone tell me where I can find out more about this? I've tried looking, but my brain is tired.

What is this Camber Sands place like? I plan on going to the Throbbing Gristle reunion there.

The weekend in April is like this - April 2: Jicks, April 3: Sonic Youth, and April 4: Foundation.

Who are Foundation?

Ah, I've found the answer:

the last day of the festival curated by the directors themselves - Barry Hogan and Helen Cottage of Foundation.

Okay.

Fucking hell Riz! I was saving my money really well, and had talked myself down from going this year!

Fucker.

What is this Camber Sands place like?

It's a holiday camp - like Butlins. But with a more progressive entertainments policy.

Uh, can anyone tell me where I can find out more about this? I've tried looking, but my brain is tired.

ATP official site

Not that there's a great deal of information to be had. I wish ATP could set up a more comprehensive site where you could ask questions and buy tickets etc.

The only place that's selling tickets, in groups of four or more, is wayahead.com

So any takers?

Weakly, like a namby liberal Guardian-reading shit who wants punching, I'm gonna have to wait until I find out when what is happening at Uni before I go for this. Money, however, shouldn't be an issue, maybe.
