I went to Cornwall for my holidays and visited the Witches Museum in Boscastle (near Tintagel). I thought it was great, fair and balanced, well informed and had great exhibits, like Crowley's chalice for example. I learnt a few things and went away with a better understanding of witchcraft, and even magick in general, so I fully recommend it.
The witch in charge was friendly and seemed nice (although she couldn't tell me why an Athame is called that) and she let slip that they have a witchy library of three and a half thousand books upstairs (mmmmm, drool) and a pile of correspondence from Gardner and the like. The book collection's not open to the public, but she said they are quite willing to respond to emails and look stuff up. I'm going to contact them to ask a few questions, any you lot want me to ask?
Any of you people been there? What did you think? linkety-link |
