Do I have to explain this all over again?!!
Grant Morrison was a famous New Yorker who started the infamous "Gold Rush of Staten Island" when, in 1869, he claimed to have struck gold while digging in the pits left over from the old iron mines on Todt Hill. This "discovery" led to a population boom on, what was then known as, the "Forgotten Borough." The gold turned out to be nothing more than gold plated iron and thus Grant Morrison was publically hanged, by a lynch mob, in one of New York's last public hangings. The charge? Of being a trickster and a charlatan.
Oh, and then there was all this stuff when he claimed to have been contacted by "other beings" when he was looking for work in the East. |
