I was at Cosmic Comics on East 23rd today and bought the entire 6-issue run of Alan Moore's 1963 for $13. Not reprints, unsold originals packaged together. Is this the best deal ever? You decide, after you RUN to your local comics retailer and BUY IT. You silly fool.

best bargain? not really - I picked up the first Miracleman trade, A Dream of Flying for £1.50...

That's in those "quid" things you people use, isn't it? How much is that in real money?

This is beside the point. The point is, all six issues of 1963, the series that kickstarted Alan Moore's Joycore Period, as-new, cover price, no bin-scouring, no hassle. Dude.

Don't mind me, I'm just psyched.

That is pretty darn rad, but, personally, I prefer the thrill of finding copies in amongst crappy back issues of Sovereign 7 and Kickers, Inc. in the cheapskate boxes.

I found several Moore Swamp Things, Skrull Kill Krew #1, a Lazarus Churchyard, at Glasgow Bus Station. In a newsagent/convenience store, when I just went in for a Strawberry Ribena. They were all cover price.

It was great.
