Proms in the Park - 13 September

Cherry Bomb
07:59 / 21.08.03
Just wondering if anyone wants to come along and have a big picnic for Proms in the Park. It's the last night of the Proms, with a big simulcast with the Royal Albert Hall from Hyde Park. It costs £18 a person but I can assure you it's worth every penny.

I had so much fun last year, I've actually planned my upcoming vacation around this year's last night of the proms - and I'm not even British!

Anyone up for it?

Yes, no hesitation, as soon as I get paid I'm buying a ticket even if I have to go alone.

I'll also there. It's my birthday the day after so I shall probably be quite merry. Will bring chocolate cake...

Woohoo! Hey, I'm wondering, should we plan on meeting up maybe at a pub in the vicinity or something and then heading into Hyde Park? Or maybe a tube stop or something? Any thoughts? The only pub I know in the neighborhood is The Quebec which I'm not sure is anyone's number one choice but hey I'd be up for it again!

I'm in favour of Wetherspoons- they serve chocomel.

I'm in favour of Wetherspoons. They are cheap.

I am not going along to Proms but Harmony, darling, you seem to share
your birthday with my illustrious daughter. On the 14th we are having her
Fairy birthday party in Stokey. Rock on...8 little kids dressed up as fairies.
Can anyone say "photo op!"?

Wetherspoons sounds good. And hey Harmony and Lily, my friend's b-day is the 11th, my Mom's is the 12th and now you 2 on the 13th~! And here I'm not even supposed to get along with Virgos...

Lilly I imagine you would be able to create perfect little fairies - I think I was covered in mud from climbing trees too much to ever look like a fairy!

I'm definitely taking cake. I might do a re-run of the chocolate thing that Anna had at her party. With the chocolate cake and the chocolate fudge icing and the chocolate melted on the top. Yeah, I'll definitely make another one of them.

September is the most populated of birthday months.
Anyone feeling the urge can contact me about the fairy party and
come along as long as you are not a child hater or weirdo. Some
barbelithers will already be there. My daughter has very eclectic taste.

Is it up by Marble Arch/Speaker's Corner? I assume the Proms thingy is going to be there as that's where the stage is...

The Strobe
10:28 / 12.09.03
(And my 21st birthday is next week, on the 19th, nonetheless. Like you said: overpopulated with birthdays). (There might well be some kind of event to mark that passing too).

Our Lady of The Two Towers
12:24 / 12.09.03
Damn, it's tomorrow isn't it? I don't suppose anyone has a free ticket to save me from having to spend the evening watching it on telly before Stars in Their Eyes?

sheesh, had no idea this needed advance booking and can't afford it anyway... oh and no offense Lily but children's birthday parties are kinda not my thing.

Will someone name a time and place for meeting?

telyn
19:01 / 12.09.03
It is near Speakers' Corner. Just south.

I think I'll be at home with folkes on the sunday I'm afraid. They'll probably want to see me that day! I also expect to have a hangover
