Over in the Gathering, I make a request that Londoners go to a club tonight, see the band, and tell them I say hi. Because this will probably take them by surprise, since I don't live anywhere near England. And the show should be fun regardless.

Anyone else ever used the internet to seem omnipresent?

i've been tempted to e-mail people with whom i share a mutual friend, but who don't know me at all, and have blogs i've read. i wanted to e-mail them casually and toss in personal details about their lives that they don't mention (like their real names, etc.), that i know from my friend, but i haven't. esp. when the one girl went crazy and her boyfriend helped her, and he was being so wonderful i wanted to commend him. they *both* have blogs. (i think it's how they met.) but i thought it'd be too scary, even if at the end i said, 'yo, don't freak, i know tyranny...'

does that count?

I once tried to take the stripes out of someone's toothpaste and replace them with gelignite, you know, so their teeth would blow up, but after trying for a bit I decided that was pretty impractical. That joke I played on the NYC 'lithers the other day worked out pretty well though.

fradge: Jokes are funny. Hiding electricity for 24 hours is not funny, it's mean and bad.

You took their cheese, dude. You took their cheese.

Ah, c'mon. There were some great blog posts that came out of it, once the power came back. They wanted it really.

Oh, suuurrrre. Cause a big melty atrocity and then tell everyone it's for their own good, because now they were brought closer as people and they'll be all inspired and stuff. Well, that makes it all right, then.

There are people in NYC who still can't experience the simple glory of a Spanish omelette thanks to you.

You and I both know that they could have easily made an omelette by holding a pan over the flames of a burning iBook.

And I only hid the electricity in the cupboard, behind the beans. If they'd really wanted to find it, they could have.
