Let me head this one up:

Despite what you may have heard, the world will not end! The world will never end in your lifetime! Even if we were engulfed in a war formed by the wishes of religous madmen, the earth would somehow survive! The world will not end, it is time you faced the fact, true disbeliever. It's a lie designed to render most people passive in the face of a complex world, where you have an individual, tiny voice that could concievably accumulate strength if enough people say the same as Thou.

[shrug] well, I am old at Barbelith as well but what I spoke of was loose conjecture, which, if you don't know your BarbeHistory, was a blow against me as much as it was to Quasar.
