Syncronicty in the new Diet Coke Ad (UK)

For those in dear old blighty who have seen the new diet coke ad: girl on train, opens bottle, starts seeing words that create a semi-saucy message to her, only to be disappointed when she closes bottle and spots dork behind paper.

Now watching this ad I started to consider it as a prime use of syncroicty. The words are just part of bigger statements, or one off graffitti items and it is she who is creating the sentance (and the viewer of course).

What do other thing, and have any of you got experience with this kind of syncronicty.

I was going to start a thread on this but you beat me to it!

It's a prime example of Mediamancy. Asking the city a question and being receptive to the answer. Very cool. I've done this and it's yeilded some fun 'n' funky results.

Previous mediamancy thread.

cheers warewolf, should of consulted my copy of City Magic I suppose.

Can I ask, in your experiences with these mediamancy have the statements been so, I guess, grammically (and bet I've spelt that wrong, no matter) correct. Or is it a case the end sentance had to be deciphered, kind of like a badly writen Mystic Meg prediction?

Thinking about it have had some experience, seeing some important initials to me appear over the course of a working day, that kind of thing.

Usually, you won't have to think too much abut the statement. I remember asking whether I should move up north and the answer was something alone the lines of "Just Do It" (but not that slogan, exactly.)

I feel that you shoudn't try too hard to divine a meaning, otherwise you'll get to a point where it's just wishful thinking. By that I mean you'll get a very obscure answer and twist it and turn it until you get the answer you were (perhaps) secretly hoping for.

Keep it simple: Quiet you mind, relax, ask a question, look for an answer. If you get a straightforward yes or no, groovy, if it's slightly more obscure, that's ok, you may need to meditate on it.
If it makes no sense, consider it a learning exercise and move on, maybe try again later.

A couples of months ago I practised a lot of situacionist experiments, but I stopped because the syncronicities frightened me. It was too much for me. (I´m very paranoid).

.....but a lot of times I enjoyed the magick of the cities.

I do this a lot while driving, as while driving I can easily get into the right sort of trancey mindframe for it to work well. And it does work well, though I admidt I seem well configured for the random sort of divinatory techniques like this. Though it is neat to see this sort of idea in something so mainstream as a coke ad.
